“How Long Has This Been Goin’ On” – Ace

This isn’t a song about a two-timing lover, it was about one of the guys in the band, bass
player Terry Comer, playing about with other bands. There was a similar feeling about this
among the band members. Paul Carrack was the lead singer and he went on to perform
with Squeeze and had a run with Mike and the Mechanics. The song has an intro with the
‘wow factor’ everybody searches for. It was their only hit. They wandered off in 1977 after
numerous attempt to recreate the success of this one.
