“City Of New Orleans” – Arlo Guthrie

Written by Steve Goodman and made famous by a host of artists, I started doing this
one during a couple of Woodstock revivals. Not everyone remembers that Arlo played
a set at Woodstock, even though it was in the middle of the night. He also had one
called “Coming Into Los Angeles” and another, “The Motorcycle Song” but the first
was blacklisted because it was about smuggling some weed by airplane and the second
was an ‘also ran’ and never charted. This guy is folk music royalty and is a prince of a fellow.
